Dribble & Yarn exists so you can steer what you see instead of being fed it. That only works if the place stays worth exploring. These are the rules that keep it that way.
They're short on purpose. The spirit matters more than the letter, and we'll use judgement.
Real people, posting real things, findable by the people who actually want to see them. Local first — what's happening near you, in the subjects you care about.
No AI-generated content. Dribble & Yarn is for human-made posts. Content generated by AI to farm views will be removed. If a tool helped you edit, that's fine — but the substance should be yours.
No engagement farming. Bait, stolen content, repost spam, and manufactured outrage all get removed.
Be who you are. Don't impersonate other people, and don't run networks of fake accounts.
Attacks on people. Harassment, bullying, targeted pile-ons, and threats. Disagreeing hard is fine; going after a person isn't.
Hate. Content attacking people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexuality, or national origin.
Violence. Threats of violence, glorifying it, or encouraging people to hurt themselves or others.
Sexual content. Pornographic material doesn't belong here.
Anything involving the sexual exploitation of children. Zero tolerance, permanent removal, and reported to the authorities. No exceptions and no second chances.
Privacy violations. Posting someone's address, phone number, workplace or other private details.
Illegal activity. Selling drugs or weapons, fraud, scams.
Deliberate misinformation presented as fact, particularly about health, safety or elections.
Every post has a report button — use it. Reports are reviewed and we act on what breaches these rules.
Every post also has a block button. Blocking someone removes their posts and messages from your experience immediately. You don't need a reason and they aren't told.
If something is urgent — a threat, or anything involving a child's safety — email us directly rather than only reporting in-app.
Depending on what happened: the content is removed, the account is limited, or the account is removed permanently. Serious cases — especially anything involving child safety or credible threats — are removed immediately and reported to the relevant authorities.
